Seit Anfang der 1990er Jahre erregt der in Mexiko-Stadt lebende Spanier Santiago Sierra (*1966) mit gesellschaftskritischen Aktionen Aufsehen. Seit der Biennale in Venedig 2003, bei der er den spanischen Pavillon zumauern und ihn - von Sicherheitskräften bewacht - nur nach Vorlage eines spanischen Passes betreten ließ, gilt Sierra als einer der meistdiskutierten zeitgenössischen Künstler. Für die kestnergesellschaft verbindet Sierra mit seiner Installation Haus im Schlamm in einem spektakulären Eingriff die Historie der Institution mit der Stadtgeschichte Hannovers. Ausgehend von der Entstehungsgeschichte des Maschsees, der in den 1930er Jahren als Arbeitsbeschaffungsmaßnahme realisiert wurde, thematisiert Sierra auch die Frage nach der »Bewertung« von Arbeit, eine Konstante in seinem bisherigen Werk und Thema von aktueller Brisanz. Die Publikation ist bedeutender Teil des Projektes. Sie umfasst historisches Text- und Bildmaterial, eine fotografische Dokumentation der Installation und erläuternde Textbeiträge. Excellent Pepper Grinder
Color: Upgrade Black, Size: Rechargeable
I've had several pepper grinders over the years, and none was as easy and smooth to use as this one. It fills easily, and it grinds evenly and smoothly with a gentle press of the button. I am glad there are two, just in case one does give out, I will have the other to use, as I am not interested in grinding salt. It runs so effortlessly that you have to be a little careful when picking it up that you do not accidentally engage the button before you want the pepper to come out. I love it, and came back here after using it for two months just to let you know.

Greatest Kitchen Item I've Bought in Years

These grinders are awesome. No more tedious grinding, or endless shaking! I love the adjustable grind levels (I like mine fairly coarse), and these hold a charge for a long time - months. My friends are super impressed when they visit, and will probably be buying these too.

These are a very nice set. Our other pair started grinding the salt and pepper as soon as you flipped it over and made a mess. This set here you have to push the button first. Also it is faster at grinding. Recommend!

Who knew laziness could be so rewarding?!

Super happy with this purchase. With the press of a button I have freshly ground salt and pepper...makes a big difference in taste. I appreciate the lighted bottoms which make it easier to see the quantity being dispensed. The charge has lasted a full month so far with near daily use. They are attractive on my counter and the tray they sit in collects the loosened remnants and is very easy to clean.
May give as gifts this year!
