This beautiful flower shaped dessert plate S is from the RINKA series of Usukiyaki. The petal design, characteristic of Usuki ware, enhances the food as if it were a picture frame.
It is mainly used to place desserts such as cakes and fruits for one person, but it is also suitable for small appetizers or side dishes.
The flower-shaped plate follows the original design of Usuki ware. The design is inspired by ancient documents and existing old Usuki ware, but with a modern twist. The wavy rim cast shadows on the plate and table, creating a beautiful look.
Usukiyaki is produced using a technique called "Katauchi" (molding). The sheet-shaped-clay is placed on a plaster mold, and is shaped with the fingers including each petal. This process gives the work a handmade feel that cannot be achieved through mass production, and gives it a stoneware-like appearance even though it is a porcelain piece.
RINKA Series
This series is inspired by the image of gentle wild flowers that soothe and heal the soul.
When laid out on a table, it creates a scene of brilliance and warmth, just like a field full of blooming flowers.
Since all products are made by hand, there may be individual differences in shape and color.
