This MK7 VW Golf GTI performance exhaust is made in 3"/76.2mm pipework and fits from the turbo backwards (Turbo back system) these exhausts replace the front pipe, standard catalyst, centre and rear sections.

The high flow sports cat version will enable you to pass a UK MOT emissions test or police road side checks. The de-cat exhaust version is sold for motorsport and off road use only and will NOT be able to pass a UK MOT emissions test or police road side checks.

The resonated sports exhaust includes the centre silencer and has a subtle but sporty tone. This exhaust is also available as a non-resonated version which is a louder option as it excludes the centre silencer and therefore, has a sportier exhaust note.

All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied. (Except turbo gasket).

Cobra Sport have gained a fantastic reputation in the Japanese, Ford and Vauxhall exhaust markets over the years and hope to capitalise on this success by launching a more comprehensive selection of VAG products over the coming months to complement and expand their market reach. The superb MK7 Golf GTI is the latest vehicle to be added to the expanding direct fit Cobra Sport exhausts collection for the VAG range. The 2.0 TSI found in the Golf GTI provides a perfect base for tuning, the Cobra Sport systems enhance performance and provide an improved sound track for an exhilarating drive.

The new 3"(76.2mm) stainless steel performance exhaust systems for the MK7 VW Golf GTI create an incredibly vibrant and pitch perfect sound of which Cobra Sport systems have become widely known for. The non resonated cat back exhaust system increases sound level of +10.7dB to 85.2dB and for those looking for a more subtle sound improvement, the resonated cat back system increases levels by +9dB recording 83.5dB during the stationary 4,000rpm sound test.

Cobra Sport's Sales Manager Matt Thomas says, "The sound quality from the new Cobra Sport systems is pitch perfect giving a sportier edge to the fantastic Golf GTI. Along with the improved deeper sound track, the resonated cat back system keeps interior sound levels in check to provide a comfortable sound levels at cruising speeds with a highest cabin reading of 86.7dB during road testing when under full load. The new Cobra Sport systems also benefit from an exceptional weight advantage. Through clever design we have been able to create a non resonated cat back exhaust which is 30% lighter than the original equipment system weighing in at only 14kg."

Unrivalled quality is the hallmark of every Cobra Sport exhaust. Each exhaust is engineered to the highest tolerances and features CNC mandrel bending of the stainless steel pipework which ensures clean airflow. Jig manufacturing and TIG welding procedures ensure great looks and a superlative finish. The Golf GTI systems are finished in a choice of 4" (101.6mm) inverted slash cut tailpipes in either a highly polished stainless steel or Cobra Sport 'Blackout' black ceramic coated finish.
