FAQ
Q: What venues are suitable for the F5 260W DJ moving head lights?
A:The F5 is ideal for indoor venues such as clubs, bars, wedding halls, concert stages, theaters, DJ booths, and event spaces. Its bright beam output, DMX512 control, gobos, colors, and prism effects make it a practical choice for professional stage lighting and event lighting.
Q: Can these moving head lights be controlled by DMX?
A:Yes. The F5 supports DMX512 control with 16 channels, allowing lighting operators to program movement, color, gobo, prism, dimming, and strobe effects. It also supports sound activation, auto-run, and built-in programs for easier operation.
Q: What effects does this beam moving head light include?
A:The F5 includes 13 gobo patterns plus white light, 14 colors plus white light, a 16-prism effect, cellular prism effects, 0–100% mechanical dimming, and 1–11Hz strobe. These features help create sharp aerial beams, layered patterns, and energetic DJ light shows.
Q: Is the F5 suitable for mobile DJs?
A:Yes. The F5 DJ moving head lights are suitable for mobile DJs, wedding events, small concerts, clubs, bars, and indoor parties. Auto-run and sound-activated modes make setup easier, while DMX512 control gives advanced users more creative flexibility.
Q: Can the F5 be used outdoors?
A:The F5 has an IP20 rating, so it is designed for indoor use only. It should not be exposed to rain, moisture, or wet outdoor conditions. For outdoor events, choose outdoor moving head lights with a higher waterproof rating.
Q: What is the difference between a beam moving head light and a wash light?
A:A beam moving head light is designed to create sharp, narrow aerial beams, especially when used with haze or fog. A wash light is designed to cover a wider area with softer color. The F5 is better for beam effects, prism effects, gobos, and dynamic stage movement.
Q: Can this DJ moving head light work with haze or fog machines?
A:Yes. Haze or fog can make the beam paths more visible, helping the F5 create stronger aerial effects for stage lighting, club lighting, concerts, and DJ events.
Q: Why choose the F5 over smaller DJ lights?
A:Compared with smaller DJ lights, the F5 offers a stronger 260W light source, 15,000-lumen output, multi-prism effects, 13 gobos, 14 colors, DMX512 control, and precise 540°/270° movement. It is better suited for professional moving head lights setups that need brighter and more dynamic effects.
Q: Is this product good for stage lighting equipment rental?
A:Yes. The F5 is a strong option for indoor stage lighting equipment rental because it combines high output, multiple control modes, rich beam effects, overheating protection, and a bilingual display for easier setup and operation.
Q: What type of lighting controller can I use with the F5?
A:You can use a standard DMX512 controller to program the F5. The fixture also supports auto-run and sound-activated modes, so it can be used with or without a professional lighting console depending on the event setup.

Masterpiece
Format: Kindle
It has been said that any work of literature should be gauged upon how much the work makes the reader think. Ben Wickey has certainly achieved this - in spades - as one of the “civilised” world’s most frightening episodes is revisited with respect and thoughtfulness on the human condition.

The Tale of Salem
Format: Paperback
If you’re not familiar with the history of Salem and its witch trials, this graphic novel is a solid entry point. The author, while not a historian, clearly put in the work—spending time in Salem, connecting with residents, and striving to honor both the historical record and the modern-day sentiments of those who live with that legacy. His goal was to get the facts right while also capturing how the people of Salem view their own history, and I think he succeeded in that respect. The artwork fits the subject matter well. We often imagine people of that time as living hard, joyless lives, and the art conveys that sense of austerity. The mix of black-and-white and color panels is sometimes striking—there are moments where the color really enhances the impact of a scene—but other times I wasn’t sure what it added. Still, the black-and-white aesthetic ties neatly into the grim tone of the era. That said, the book is quite long, and if you’re already well-versed in the Salem Witch Trials, you may not learn much new in terms of facts. But if you enjoy studying the trials or want to explore the story through a different medium, this graphic novel is definitely worth picking up. For me, it landed at a 3.5 stars, which I’ll round up to 4 (since I usually do that when posting on review sites).

Salem's a Lot
Format: Paperback
Great comic that deserves to be at the top end of best of 2025 lists. Intensively researched with multiple art approaches to the varied settings. It also made me want to take a trip to Salem in the off-season. A virtuosic undertaking!

Offers the bloody, beating heart of the Salem Witch Trials
Format: Paperback
Unlike so many books and movies that examine the Salem Witch Trials from an academic or outsider perspective, "More Weight" plunges you into the everyday life of 1692 Salem. Giles Corey's story is often boiled down to the story of his death but he and Martha are given a deeper look here, with the result of some truly disturbing pages. The addition of Hawthorne and Longfellow sharing their thoughts in 1860 and then a look at what Salem is today, further enriches an already multi-layered story. Incredible work.
