The MESA® 5U4GB Rectifier Tube is our very best overall 5U4 and our rectifier tube of choice in the production of all new MESA amps featuring this tube. This tube produces a "traditional vintage sag" with the most elastic and compressed feel of the two 5U4's that we offer. Amazing feel and exceptional overall quality make this our factory favorite. Based on classic 1950s technology, the 5U4GB is a vastly improved 5U4 design that is extremely reliable and consistent, as well as more compact compared to original “Coke Bottle” 5U4Gs (3 3/4" from bottom of base to top of glass). It is similar in size to a 6L6 power tube so please take special care to install them in the correct tube position(s), especially when replacing 6L6's at the same time. 5U4GB Rectifier Tubes are used in MESA Amps like the Dual and Triple Rectifiers®, Road King®, Roadster®, Stiletto Ace™, Deuce™ & Trident™.

I admittedly probably didn’t work on it as long or as hard as I should have, but I still had great results. *** One warning: when it says to “tape up and cover your paint around it” do it! I figured I would just be careful but no I was wrong. It will REALLY damage your paint, so make sure you don’t get any on it. YES- This is the sanding discs too! They have chemicals on them, they are not regular discs. If you do get on paint, clean immediately! My only regret with this project and my fault, not theirs. My headlights went from dingy yellow, to much brighter and definitely more clear. Love the results. Very happy with the purchase.

I'm Not Disappointed ...

I knew going in that my expectations shouldn't be very high because my car is a first generation 2010 Kia Soul. So its old with 16 plus years of yellowing oxidation and some abrasion. I took a chance with doing this because of the reviews and pictures. To my surprise, it worked better than I anticipated and could hope for. My driver side(left) headlight was horrible but my passenger side(right) wasn't too shabby and didn't require as much care. This would have turned out better if I had power drill attachments of the same sanding grit to do this. My arm is going to be really sore come Sunday. 😆 It wasn't too hard to follow the instructions as they were very simple for the application process. I don't know about the 2 years for it lasting, but for now, its durable. Once I drive at night, I'll be able to But all in all, it worked for me and its better than before I tackled it. All in all it looks good, I feel like I'll have a better beam when night 🌙 driving.
