Airtec Motorsport Stage 2 intercooler upgrade voor de Mini Cooper S R56 (1.6 turbo), ontwikkeld als effectieve koelupgrade voor track use en sportief straatgebruik. Deze intercooler is ontworpen als directe vervanging van de kleinere en meer restrictieve OEM-intercooler.

Om prestatieverlies tijdens langdurige zware belasting te voorkomen, heeft Airtec Motorsport een grotere en vrijer stromende intercooler ontwikkeld. Dankzij het stepped core ontwerp wordt binnen de beperkte ruimte achter de bumper een maximaal frontaal oppervlak benut.

Dit resulteert in een aanzienlijke toename in totale capaciteit en een groter frontaal oppervlak ten opzichte van standaard. Hierdoor wordt de beschikbare rijwind efficiënter benut en blijven de inlaattemperaturen stabieler onder zware belasting.

In combinatie met high-flow one-piece gegoten end tanks en een interne luchtgeleider wordt de luchtstroom optimaal verdeeld, wat zorgt voor een duidelijke verbetering in koelcapaciteit en efficiëntie.

De intercooler is uitgevoerd in een satin black afwerking en wordt geleverd met alle benodigde montagematerialen en een duidelijke montagehandleiding. Montage vereist geen aanpassing aan de bumper, al kan lichte aanpassing aan de onderste grille nodig zijn.
