Pachysandra terminalis ‘Green Carpet’ is een sterke, wintergroene bodembedekker die ideaal is voor schaduwrijke tuinen. Deze laagblijvende plant vormt een dichte, frisgroene mat die de bodem volledig bedekt en onkruid effectief onderdrukt.

In het voorjaar (maart tot mei) bloeit Pachysandra met kleine, witte bloemaren die subtiel boven het blad uitsteken. De plant groeit het beste in halfschaduw tot schaduw en voelt zich thuis in humusrijke, goed doorlatende grond. Hierdoor is hij perfect voor het vullen van lastige, donkere plekken in de tuin.

Standplaats en verzorging
Pachysandra terminalis ‘Green Carpet’ is zeer onderhoudsarm en groeit rustig maar gestaag dicht. Een lichte snoei in het vroege voorjaar (voor eind februari) houdt de plant compact en stimuleert frisse groei. Eenmaal goed gevestigd vraagt hij weinig verzorging.
