Topkwaliteit uit Californië

Donald Hess is een grote naam en staat synoniem voor topkwaliteit over de hele wereld - en niet alleen wat wijn betreft. Naast de Hess Collection Winery in Napa Valley, bezit Donald Hess ook wijnmakerijen in Australië, Zuid-Afrika en Argentinië - en op alle locaties streeft hij ook zijn tweede grote passie na: kunst. De liefde voor kunst komt ook tot uiting in deze Hess-collectie Napa Valley Chardonnay. Het complexe boeket is letterlijk pittoresk. Appels, peren, perziken, abrikozen, stervruchten zorgen voor de “kleuren”. Er gebeurt ook veel in de mond. Smakelijk finesse, harmonieus, rond en duurzaam.

De vinificatie van Hess Napa Chardonnay

De Chardonnay-druiven worden met de hand geoogst uit de Hess-wijngaard Su´skol, voorzichtig geperst en gefermenteerd. Ongeveer 80 procent van de wijn ondergaat een tweede malolactische gisting in eikenhouten vaten. Hier rijpt het tien maanden op de gist. Vervolgens worden beide wijnen bij elkaar gebracht, gebotteld en inspireren ze met een krachtig, typisch Chardonnay-aroma. In de geur een prachtig boeket van brioche en vanillebonen, gecompleteerd met divers citrusfruit, groene appel, witte nectarine en peer. De smaak is uitmuntend, prachtige dikke structuur met veel smaken van eiken hout, vanille, gele room, perzik en abrikozen. Echt een topper! Een uitstekende wijn bij gegrilde zeevruchten, gevogelte, wit vlees of pasta's. We mochten deze Chardonnay proeven met zalmcarpaccio, die onze combinatie-ideeën inspireerde of 'viste'. Gebakken Garnalen Met Citroen Honing Vinaigrette. Snoekbaarsfilet met avocado cottage cheese salade of gegratineerde coquilles. Een echte aanrader!

My new Favourite Summer Tank Top - padded cup (no shelf bra!)

Cutest tank top, my new summer go-to. I was looking and searching high and low for a tank top which had padded cups without the shelf bra. Shelf bras are so uncomfortable with their elastic bands and are even worse in the summer, sweaty sun. I wanted something breathable, movable, and with just a bit of padding to cover the nipples and add the slightest big of shape. If you are large breasted these built in cups might not be the best for you, but as a smaller breasted lady these are perfect. The cups are not over the top bulky, but also they are not meant to really add "support" (for those who are looking for support this wouldn't be the tank for you. Think lightly padded!) The material is super soft and the length comes down to the hips. The tank doesn't ride up, so you're not always having to pull them down and adjust, and so you could wear them for both workouts or for casual summer evenings. I bought size XS and I am 5'1, 97 lbs. I was wondering if I should go to a size S because it wasn't clear by some of the reviews, but I'm glad I bought the XS because the shoulder strap is also the perfect length (not too baggy but also not super tight). Read the sizing chart before you buy - they are true to the size indicated on the sizing chart. Some have said theirs didn't come with padding, or the stitching was poor, but the ones I've received are totally fine. This tank is just plain-old comfortable any way you look at it. I'll be buying more colours!

So if you have large or low breasts, don’t even try. You’ll have to wear a bra with it unless you want your boobs hanging below the sewn in cups. That being said, the material is great.
