If you don't have sweaty palms, however, this wrist rest is perfect. It is 4 inches deep instead of the typical 3.1 inches, it is the perfect height and tapered just so for maximum comfort, the wood (Golden Oak color) is beautiful, and the engraved logo is tasteful and non-intrusive.

The wood is great.

There was no difference in comfort for me, you'd think being used to a padded wrist this shift would be "hard" on me, but no, I haven't had any problems. All-in-all quite satisfied with the purchase, fits the aesthetic, feel, and ergonomics I was looking for.
