De testo 770-3 stroomtang is uitermate geschikt voor contactloze stroom metingen in schakelkasten. Een van de twee bekken verdwijnt bij het indrukken van de knop, volledig in het instrument. Door dit unieke grijpmechanisme wordt het zelfs met weinig ruimte mogelijk, probleemloos de meting uit te voeren. Ook hier zorgt de automatische parameterherkenning voor snelle en betrouwbare meting. In de stroom en spanning bereiken wordt door alle drie de meetinstrumenten meteen gelijk en wisselstroom herkent en aangeduid door de juiste parameter zoals bijv. weerstand, continuïteit, diode en capaciteit. De testo 770-3 is  voor de dagelijkse werkzaamheden incl. de meting voor startstroom,  heeft ook een μA meetbereik, adapter om een type K thermokoppel aan te sluiten en beschikt over een Bluetooth module.
