The Zünden Fire Starter is the ferrocerium rod that established Überleben as a leader in field-grade ignition. Utilizing their proprietary Sånft-korr™ ferrocerium, this rod is engineered to find the perfect balance between softness and durability, throwing molten spark showers at 5,500ºF even when soaking wet.
The 100% hardwood handle is handmade to provide a natural, textured grip that earns a seasoned patina over years of use. Each kit comes equipped with an AmbiStriker multi-tool—featuring a straight-edge spine and concave tinder scraper—and is secured by a mil-spec 550 paracord lanyard.
