Comfortable Feel of an Acoustic Piano in a Compact and Modern Instrument

The black Yamaha P-225 is a digital piano loaded with features to provide intermediate and advanced players with a satisfying acoustic piano playing experience in a compact and portable package that takes less space in your room. The P-225 delivers the sound and feel of a traditional grand piano, thanks to its 88 Graded Hammer Compact (GHC) weighted keys, 192-note polyphony, string and damper resonance effects, and high-fidelity 2-way speaker system, plus expressive tones from Yamaha's premier concert grand piano, the CFX.

A collection of 24 sounds with adjustable reverb, 20 onboard rhythms over which you can jam, 2 voice layers, and split modes to combine sounds, duet mode to practice with a partner, two headphone jacks, 2-track song recorder, Bluetooth music streaming, and USB audio/MIDI interface for connecting to a Mac/Windows computer make the P-225 ideal for pianists seeking a complete playing experience in limited spaces.

Graded Hammer Compact (GHC) Keyboard Offers a Realistic Playing Feel

In order to achieve such a compact form factor, Yamaha equipped the the P-225 with the new Graded Hammer Compact (GHC) keyboard, which offers an even better weighted acoustic piano playing feel than its predecessors, but in less space.

The Sound of Yamaha's Premier Concert Grand Piano, the CFX

The P-225 gives you four sounds from Yamaha's top-of-the-line CFX including Grand Piano, Live Grand, Ballad Grand, and Bright Grand, played and loved by renowned pianists, with shimmering highs and powerful lows.

The P-225 is equipped with Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) Lite, a digital technology that realistically reproduces the complex resonance produced by the strings of a grand piano, changing each time according to how the keys are pressed.

And with 192-note polyphony, you can play complex compositions without the risk of notes cutting off.

Place the Instrument Wherever You Like, or Take it With You

The stylish design of the P-225 blends well with any room and is available in black or white color variations to match the mood.

With the optional soft case, you can take this instrument with you to the studio, to live gigs, or on a trip—whenever you need it.

24 Varied Instrument Sounds

The P-225 features 24 instrument sounds including Yamaha's premier concert grand CFX sounds.

You can enjoy a wide variety of highly practical sounds for keyboard players including Stage E.Piano, DX E.Piano, Jazz Organ, Strings, E.Clavichord, Vibraphone, and more.

Two-Way Speaker System Delivers Expansive Sound

The position and angle of the speakers on both the front and back of the P-225 were adjusted to reproduce the sounds reflected from the soundboard and lid of an acoustic grand piano as closely as possible. This placement offers the player a comfortable sonic environment when the P-225 is placed against a wall.

A tone escapement has also been installed on this instrument to make the sound clearer and more readily heard, bringing the best acoustic balance to the player.

In addition to the speakers that offer sharp and clear mid- to high-range tones and prominent low end for a well-balanced sound, the P-225’s speakers feature tweeters for a richer high-end tone.

Access the Features of the P-225 with Greater Ease from the App

By linking the P-225 with Yamaha's dedicated Smart Pianist digital piano app, you can intuitively perform all operations on the P-225 from the screen of your smart device. There's no longer any need to pull out the manual to see how things work.

Practice with 303 Free Pieces of Classical Sheet Music

The Smart Pianist app comes with PDF scores of 303 classical pieces for practice such as Bayer, Burgmüller, Czerny, Hanon, and more, which you are free to display and use on the screen of your smart device.

Easily Record Sound and Video, and Upload Your Own Performances

If you want to take a video of your performance and share it on platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, Yamaha's Rec'n'Share app is the way to go. Connect the P-225 to your smart device, and record both video and audio at the same time to complete your video (cable is available separately).

Dedicated Stand and Three-Pedal Unit (Optional)

For those who want to really play the piano instead of enjoying it casually on a tabletop, Yamaha offers an optional L-200 stand and LP-1 three-pedal unit that provide the same features as you would find on a grand piano (including a damper pedal that supports half-pedaling).

Using the stand provides stability, proper height, and correct posture when you play; adding the sustain pedal lets you enjoy a more authentic style of performing.

The FC3A piano-style sustain pedal (with half-pedaling) is also available separately.

Bluetooth Audio

The P-225 features built-in Bluetooth audio, which lets you pair this instrument with your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet to listen to your favorite music through the instrument’s speakers. You can also play along with the sound coming from the instrument’s speakers.

Stereophonic Optimizer for Practice with Headphones

A stereophonic optimizer adjusts the spatial distribution of sound in the listener's headphones. This creates the sensation that sound is coming directly from the piano rather than from the headphones.

Preset and Demo Songs

The P-225 comes with 71 preset songs, including 21 demo songs that are appropriate for each instrument sounds, such as grand piano, electric piano, various organs, harpsichords including Jazz Organ, E.Clavichord, Vibraphone, and so forth.

Rhythm Accompaniments

If you get tired of playing alone, the P-225 offers 20 rhythm accompaniments with drums and bass, in genres such as rock, pop, jazz, bossa nova, etc.

Onboard Song Recorder

The onboard 2-track MIDI recorder enables performances to be recorded to the piano's internal memory and played back—helpful during lessons or just for fun.

USB Audio and MIDI: Record to Your Computer

The USB-to-host terminal allows you to connect the keyboard to a computer or portable device and record MIDI or high-quality audio without the need for an additional interface.

Sound Boost for Bringing Out the Sound of the Piano

The P-225 is equipped with a Sound Boost function that switches to a punchy and powerful sound, great when playing along with other instruments or playing in a noisy environment.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.
