Its laser light source delivers consistent brightness and color accuracy across the life of the unit, while the ability to project up to a 300-inch image ensures presentations, data-heavy dashboards, and multimedia content grab attention and maintain legibility from the back of the room. With 4K HDR/HLG support and dual HDMI inputs, the LS920WU is built for modern workflows, enabling seamless connections to laptops, media players, and document cameras. How to install ViewSonic LS920WU

Installing the LS920WU for a professional, long-lasting setup begins with planning the throw distance to achieve your target image size. The projector’s 1.6x optical zoom gives you flexibility to tune the image without moving the unit, so you can fit a 300-inch screen in rooms with varying dimensions. Start by selecting a stable mounting option—ceiling mounting is common for classrooms and conference rooms, but a sturdy table setup can work for portable deployments. Ensure adequate ventilation around the projector and keep vents clear of dust and obstruction to maximize the laser’s efficiency and lifespan. Position the projector so that its centerline aligns with the screen and the lens is perpendicular to the screen plane to minimize distortion; use the built-in quick alignment tools if available to accelerate setup.

Next, connect your sources. The LS920WU includes two HDMI inputs, allowing you to connect a laptop for slides, a document camera for live demonstrations, and a media player for videos or interactive content. After connections are made, power on the projector and navigate the on-screen menu to configure essential settings. Select the correct input source, adjust image size using the 1.6x zoom, and fine-tune focus for crisp edges across the entire screen. If your space has ambient light, enable HDR/HLG compatibility and adjust color settings to match the room’s lighting—this helps ensure consistent skin tones and accurate color reproduction across presenters and materials. For ceiling installations, ensure all mounting hardware is secure and cables are neatly managed to minimize strain on connections. Finally, test the sound (if using built-in speakers) and verify that the projector remains cool during extended use, ensuring the air paths stay unobstructed for optimal performance.

The Epson F170 has been ideal for getting started with sublimation. It's easy to use, prints vibrant and defined colors, and has allowed me to personalize various projects with excellent results. As a beginner, it has given me a lot of confidence to learn and create without complications. I definitely recommend it for anyone starting out in sublimation.

No returns and no support. If it doesn't work properly, too bad.

I was fairly happy with my Epson ET 2800, but was told that I'd get better colors with the F170. So I bit the bullet. The installation went smoothly and I was printing in short order. It was when I started printing items that had some dark gray that I noticed the problem. It was printing green. I contacted Epson tech support and they answered the phone almost immediately. (And how rare is that??) The woman I spoke with seemed to be familiar with the problem and advised me to modify the printer preferences and change the color correction from "ICM" to "No color correction". Well, it wasn't printing green anymore. Now the grays were brown. At this point, she ran out of ideas and gave me an email address for the second level of tech support and asked if I'd send a photo of the printed fabrics showing the problem. I did. That was over three weeks ago. I've sent a couple of followup emails, but they're ignoring me. But the best news was discovering that there are no returns on this product. I didn't think that was a thing with Amazon and I've never had any problems before. So now the 30-day return window is about to elapse and it appears that I'm stuck with an oversized doorstop. In the photo I'm including with this review, the fabric on the upper-left was printed with my Epson ET 2800. On the upper right, the F170 with ICM color correction. On the bottom, the F170 with no color correction.
