This was a style divergence for me. I learned how to draw in perspective, then used mixed media tools to create a warm and homey room filled with family portraits from over 100 years ago to today. Of course, in any home I imagine, a cat will be resting by the fireplace. This piece reflects the idea that home is not just a place, but a collection of moments, people, and memories.
The wallpaper is actual wallpaper samples. The log in the fireplace was made from gel medium and is 3D.
The size is 16" x 20" by 1" on art board. It is in a black frame without glass due to the 3D nature of the mixed-media elements.
