Dramatic and rare, this Art Nouveau stickpin (circa 1890) depicts a finely detailed gargoyle rendered in 14k gold, its fierce expression brought to life with two sparkling diamond eyes and a luminous pearl accent. Gargoyle motifs, while unusual in jewelry, symbolized protection and guardianship, making this piece both powerful and collectible.

The pin head measures approximately 0.6 inches by 0.5 inches wide, with the full stickpin length extending to 2.45 inches. It weighs 2.75 grams and remains in excellent antique condition, with crisp detail preserved.

Its gold content and gemstones have been professionally verified using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis, jeweler’s acid testing, and gemstone assessment, confirming authenticity and quality.
