Brett Naucke returns to Spectrum Spools with his sophomore LP for Spectrum Spools following the Seed LP (SP 034LP, 2014) as well as a string of exceptional cassette releases on Umor Rex and Hausu Mountain. The Mansion finds Naucke at the peak of his powers with a fresh array of meticulously composed psychotropic tapestries. Themes based on a childhood home, now a distant memory, reveal a mysterious narrative in mind-bending sonic detail. These complex ideas fuse conflicting states of tension and beauty with an organic acumen, each track a piece of the greater whole. The Mansion is a fine mixture of contemporary concrète structure interlaced with tightly crafted melodic arrangement and hi-fidelity electronic exploration. In addition to his stalwart synthesis, Naucke employs additional personnel featuring vocal duties from Natalie Chami (of Goodwill Smith and TALsounds) and viola sounds from Whitney Johnson (of Matchess). Field recording, piano, and other various instrumentations are also carefully implemented adding a new, deeper dimension to the Naucke oeuvre. With his most realized set of compositions yet, The Mansion finds Naucke at the paragon of his conceptual and sonic ethos with a work that's at once deeply meaningful and profound in it's auditory breadth. The Mansion was written and recorded in Chicago, IL between January 2015-February 2017. Mastered at Dubplates & Mastering Berlin by CGB, July 2017.

If it's a few inches ABOVE my belly button, inseam is correct... but then MED is SUPER baggy in the butt (I have a small butt maybe?) WELL MADE! NOT see thru!! Fabric is kind of stiff, BUT because it's a linen blend, may be beneficial for less wrinkles? 😃 Probably improve if washed. Also tried the small, belly/butt area is better, but super high and a little tight on me. NO off gassing 👏👏👏 Super versatile (dress up or down) Good price.

Linen cotton blend, soft & not see through. I'm 5'4" & 157 lbs, ordered a XL size & they fit perfectly, just a but long. Took me 8-10 minutes to hem, & now they are my go-to summer pants! Elastic + drawstring waist & wide legs look very stylish. I'm very pleased, will probably order more in a different color. I love the natural linen color, but since I see fabric thickness will try in white since summers where I live are triple-digits.

These are so-so
Good fit (I’m 5’8”, 215 pounds, and got an XL), cool and light fabric. I wore them on a recent trip to Walt Disney World, and they held up pretty well. They do get wrinkled easily, though, and I was somewhat dismayed to find that the fabric pilled badly in the crotch area (see photo). This was after only one laundering and one vacation where I wore them maybe three days. 😒 I have a feeling that they won’t last for more than one summer season. I expected better for the money, honestly.

Read the size guide!

Got the light khaki Large. I am 5'7" and 180#'s. Loved the sturdy yet breathable material and the color. But too small. READ THE SIZE GUIDE! I didn't, and now I have to return and reorder.
OK. Got the right size. Love 'em. Comfort and fit are great. Not crazy about having to line dry, but it's the price one pays for having natural fabrics.

RED & BLACK PANTS BLEED WHEN DRY AND WILL RUIN WHATEVER THEY TOUCH

These are very cute and flattering pants, but the first I wore them they turned everything they touched pink. The tops of my sneakers where they touched are now pink. The case of my cell phone that I slipped into my back pocket is now permanently pink. Apparently this is called “crocking” and occurs because there is a heavy excess of "unbound" dye on the surface of the fibers that was never properly rinsed or set during manufacturing. To fix this, I’ll have to go through a two-step process to strip away the excess surface dye and then chemically "lock" what remains. The needed specialized detergent and fixative products will cost another $20 (not to mention the pink sneakers and phone case). The process will take a couple of hours. I suspect the same dry bleeding would happen with other dark colors of these pants. Save yourself the hassle and buy a better, pricier pant in the first place. It’s very disappointing because they fit is great. They do stretch a size or two in the butt and thighs but the waist doesn’t stretch, which is good.
