A glossy blush glaze designed for layering that when fired, crawls into organic shapes, adding color variation to the underlying glaze. The result is a unique, multidimensional effect with subtle depth.

Bring ceramic surfaces to life with AMACO Crawls - unique, spontaneous patterns every time! Crawling occurs when the glaze pulls back from the surface during firing, creating a textured, uneven finish that reveals the underlying clay body. These glazes can be used by themselves or layered over underglazes or other cone 5/6 glazes for dynamic effects.

Application:

Apply 1-4 even coats to bisque, allowing each coat to dry almost fully before significant cracking occurs. Crawl glazes naturally develop fine cracks as they dry, so handle with care. For added durability before firing, apply over an AMACO Celadon glaze or underglaze.

A heavier application will produces larger glaze beads and a more pronounced effect, while thinner coats create a finer texture.
